On the 5th Day of Christmas…Decorate!

Our gorgeous tree!

Our gorgeous tree!

I love weird, quirky and vintage holiday decorations the best, but honestly, I can get behind pretty much anything Christmas-y.   The first thing most people notice about my tree is how many ornaments are on it…as if they expected me to be tastefully spare!  HA!  While all of mine have a lot of meaning and sentimental value, I also believe there can never be “too many ornaments”.   It’s Christmas!  It’s supposed to be just a little tacky in my humble opinion.   After the jump, see how my friend made a gorgeous wreath out of paper around their apartment and check out the ornaments I made for my store this year!

This wonderful/slightly creepy vintage foam Santa head is one of my prized possessions! I paired it this year with a wool gingerbread house, bottle brush trees and some fat llamas.

My friend made this amazing white paper wreath for their apartment in Brooklyn. It's the perfect DIY project when you have time, but no materials!

Cut some rectangles out of baking parchment, computer paper, wax paper or any white paper really! Use pinking shears to cut the edges and then snip the ends and edges for texture.

It looks like he sprinkled a few with glitter too! I love the different shades of white and all the textures. So simple and lovely.

These textural stockings are my favorite for 2015. They are also available online at Haus and Home LA. The high fashion animal rag dolls are available in my kid’s store, Lord and Little!

Do it. Decorate! Get cheery, y’all!
